X (Twitter), XVideos, FetLife and 4 others just joined StopNCII in 2026. What it means for NCII victims.
If you are an NCII victim, a retired creator, or someone with intimate images at risk of exposure, the platform landscape just changed in a meaningful way. StopNCII.org, the free hash-based blocking service operated by SWGfL and Meta, added 7 new industry partners in 2026. The full list now stands at 18 platforms, and three of the new additions are platforms that have historically been the worst for NCII enforcement.
This post covers what changed, why it matters per victim profile, and what you should actually do about it.
The 7 new StopNCII partners in 2026
The newly-added platforms:
- X (formerly Twitter) — historically one of the worst major platforms for NCII enforcement. The partnership means hash-registered images are blocked at the upload layer before they ever go live.
- XVideos — the second-largest adult tube site by traffic. A major re-upload destination for leaked content.
- FetLife — the largest kink and BDSM social network. Important for community members whose intimate content has been posted without consent in a community where consent context is supposed to be central.
- Patreon — the major creator subscription platform. Already had decent Trust and Safety, partnership adds upload-layer blocking.
- ViVA Street — the largest UK classifieds platform. Adult services section has historically been an NCII vector through stolen photos in escort listings.
- F2F.com (Friends2Follow) — creator-fan subscription platform similar to OnlyFans. Critical for retired creators whose old content gets reused on fraudulent accounts.
- Bluesky — the decentralized social network on the AT Protocol. Important as user migration from X continues.
The full 18-platform partner list now includes: Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Microsoft Bing, TikTok, Reddit, OnlyFans, Pornhub, Snap, Playhouse, RedGIFs, Patreon, ViVA Street, X, F2F.com, Bluesky, FetLife, and XVideos.
Why this matters: hash blocking vs notice-based removal
The distinction is fundamental and most NCII victims do not understand it.
Notice-based removal is what happens when you file a report on a post that already exists. The platform reviews the report, decides whether to act, and removes the content (or does not). This process is slow, inconsistent, and reactive. It is the path victims have had to rely on for years.
Hash-based blocking is what StopNCII partnership enables. You register a hash of your intimate images locally on your own device (the image itself never leaves your computer, only a mathematical fingerprint). The partner platforms then check every upload against the hash database before the content goes live. Matches are blocked at the upload layer.
The difference for victims is night and day. Hash blocking prevents new uploads entirely. Notice-based removal only addresses content that already exists. Combined, the two layers create a much stronger barrier against the cycle of upload, removal, re-upload that has characterized NCII enforcement for years.
What it means per victim profile
Retired creators with old content circulating:
You are the biggest beneficiary of this expansion. Patreon, F2F.com, and XVideos joining means that the three most common platforms where retired creator content gets re-monetized by fraudulent accounts now have upload-layer blocking. If you register your hashes with StopNCII, fraudulent creator accounts cannot upload your old content to these platforms anymore. Combined with FetLife and ViVA Street joining, the major creator-economy re-upload vectors are now covered.
Sextortion victims and revenge porn victims:
X joining is the headline development for you. X has been one of the worst major platforms for handling sextortion-distributed intimate images, with reports often languishing for weeks in their general moderation queue. Hash registration means a sextortion crew that obtained your intimate images cannot upload them to X anymore. This is a major reduction in the threat surface, because X has been a primary distribution channel for "your contacts will see this" extortion threats.
Anyone with intimate images at risk:
Register your hashes with StopNCII.org now, even if you have not yet experienced a leak. The registration is free, runs locally on your device (the image never leaves your computer), and creates upload-blocking protection across all 18 partner platforms. This is preventive defense that takes 10 minutes and costs nothing.
What this does NOT solve
Honest scope-setting matters. StopNCII partnership covers the upload layer on the 18 partner platforms. It does not solve:
- Offshore leak forums (SimpCity, Bunkr, Cyberdrop, Kemono, Coomer, Fapello, exposurehub, and similar). These platforms are not StopNCII partners and have no intention of becoming partners. Removal requires DMCA notices to their hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare, hosting providers, registrars), not hash blocking.
- Image hosts and file lockers outside the partnership (mega.nz, gofile, anonymous file hosts). Same story. Infrastructure-level escalation required.
- Search engine indexing. StopNCII does not handle Google or Bing de-indexing. Even with content removed from partner platforms, URLs may remain in search results for days or weeks. Separate de-indexing requests are needed.
- Smaller adult tube sites that have not joined the partnership. The major ones (Pornhub, XVideos, MindGeek network) are covered, but the long tail is not.
- Re-uploads to non-partner platforms after content escapes. Hash blocking on 18 platforms is excellent but not exhaustive. Content can still propagate to non-partner platforms via direct uploads.

If you already have content circulating on one of the new partner platforms:

If your content has spread beyond the 18 partner platforms (leak forums, tube sites, image boards, file hosts):

Final note
The StopNCII expansion is a real net positive for victims. The hash partnership model is one of the most effective NCII countermeasures available, and adding X, XVideos, FetLife, Patreon, ViVA Street, F2F.com, and Bluesky in 2026 closes some of the largest remaining gaps. If you have intimate images you want protected, registering your hashes is the single highest-leverage 10 minutes of work available.
