What Is NCII?
NCII stands for Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery — photos or videos of an intimate nature shared without the depicted person's consent. This is commonly called revenge porn, though the term NCII is broader and covers hacked photos, hidden camera recordings, and deepfakes — not just content shared by ex-partners.
Why NCII Removal Is Different From Copyright Takedowns

What StopNCII.org Does and Does Not Cover
StopNCII.org is a free tool operated by the UK Revenge Porn Helpline. It creates digital fingerprints (hashes) of your images that participating platforms use to block re-uploads. You hash your images locally — they are never uploaded to StopNCII servers.
Participating platforms: Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads), Reddit, TikTok, Bumble, OnlyFans, Pornhub
NOT covered: Offshore leak forums (SimpCity, LeakedBB, TheFap), file lockers (MEGA, Bunkr, Cyberdrop), Telegram channels, anonymous imageboards, and most tube sites. These are the sites where most leaked content actually lives.
The TAKE IT DOWN Act
Signed into law in May 2025, the TAKE IT DOWN Act requires covered platforms to remove NCII within 48 hours of receiving a valid report. However:
- Enforcement does not begin until May 2026
- Only applies to platforms operating under US jurisdiction
- Offshore leak forums registered in Pakistan, Russia, or other jurisdictions are completely outside this framework
How NCII Spreads
The distribution pattern is predictable and accelerating:
- Content appears on a major platform or is obtained through a data breach
- Within hours, scrapers copy it to leak forums like SimpCity, SocialMediaGirls, and LeakedBB
- From there, it spreads to file lockers (MEGA, Bunkr), tube sites (xHamster, Pornhub), and aggregator sites
- Each copy generates new copies across the web
The only way to stop the spread is to hit every node simultaneously.
How to Remove NCII
Do not message, threaten, or negotiate with the person who posted your content. This often escalates the situation and gives them leverage.
Step 2: Document Everything
Screenshot every page with timestamps. Save URLs. Do not delete your evidence.
File NCII-specific reports (not standard DMCA) on platforms that have dedicated forms: Meta, Reddit, Google (for search de-indexing), TikTok.
Step 4: Use StopNCII.org
Create hashes of your images to block re-uploads on participating platforms. This is a preventive measure, not a removal tool.
Step 5: Address Offshore Sites
